This Week's Homework (VERY IMPORTANT)

1. Find a topic from your article.
For example, if my article was about teachers on a strike, then I can choose the topic 'teachers', 'strike', or 'teachers going on a strike'. It doesn't matter what it is as long as the topic corresponding with the article.

2. Write a fact sheet for your research.
Basically, you are researching about your topic. You can research on the internet, or library, or from other newspaper articles, or even textbooks. Through your research, you will be writing down facts/information that relates to your topic.

Afterward you have written all the information you found IN POINT FORM, then you will categorize them as much as possible.

For example, using the teachers going on a strike example, if my topic was about 'teachers', and I found 2 piece of information:

i) Teachers goes on strike because the government refuses to pay enough money for their hard work.
ii) Some teachers believes that a good education leads to a healthy future.
iii) Teachers think students should be severely punished if they do something wrong.

I would put those them into 2 different categories like this:

Category:
Politics
1. teachers goes on strike because the government refuses to pay enough money for their hard work.

Teacher's opinions
1. some teachers believes that a good education leads to a healthy future.
2. teachers think students should be severely punished if they do something wrong.

Finally for next glass present your fact sheet, and prepare to do your final research paper.

If you forgot to bring your fact sheet or do your homework, then you mind as well not come because you won't be doing anything

This final assignment is out of 200
Fact sheet = /50
Research paper = /150

Good luck and post if you have any questions! I will also post an example of a fact sheet during the weekend.
